scheregen, founded in 2017, has dedicated itself to the heavy metal of the old school like those of Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio and Accept, most prominently in the guitar work. The style produced they affectionately dubbed "German Metal" due to the German-language twin vocals. The addition of the keyboard also set accents, reminiscent of the hard rock of the early eighties. The net result on their debut Untot (2019; German for "undead") featuring the line-up of Kaleun Cronos (vocals/guitars), Lilith Frost (vocals), Kratos P. (guitars), Daniel van Helsing (keyboard/piano/backing vocals), Leroy Blanche (drums), Herbert Maul (bass) payed homage to the metal of the past while adding modern twists without falling into the stereo-typical modern German metal styles of Rammstein or the Böhsen Onkelz.
