Heavy LoadBiographyHeavy Load (1976-1983, 1985, 1987, 2017-present): a Power Metal band from Stockholm, Sweden. S tarting out as a trio, by brothers Ragne Wahlquist (vocals/guitar) and Styrbjörn Wahlquist (vocals/drums) with Michael Backlund (bass) in 1976, Heavy Load recorded their debut-album Full Speed at High Level in 1977 (released 1978), now with Dan Molén on bass. The act would attempt to regroup with Andreas Fritz on bass to record the Monsters Of The Night single (1985) before splitting again soon after. In 1987, the brothers attempted a third kick of the can to record an album together that was essentially a compilation of the previous two with a bonus 7" added on, titled Stronger than Evil/Death or Glory, with Paul Gray (bass; ex-The Damned/ex-U.F.O.) and Patrik Karlsson (guitar) but the resulting album was never released. The release of Riders of the Ancient Storm (2023), however, saw Niclas Sunnerberg on guitars and vocals (backing). Read Less... ⏫ Dashboard for Heavy Load
