mherst, the one-time industrial city near the Nova Scotia/New Brunswick boundary boasts classic Victoria era architecture and was home to death band Degrade featuring the membership of Adam Degrade (bass), Frank Degrade (Real Name: François "Frank" Landry; drums; ex-Obnoxious/ex-Dischord/ex-Tempting Tragedy), Mike Degrade (guitars) and Willie Degrade (vocals). Yes, each member chose the band name to use as their alias last name for their one and only self-titled release Degrade (2013), an independently released album featuring topics on gore, death and zombies. The act split in 2013 when Frank died in October of that year.
