Raised By Owls
lthough it was officially listed as an EP, Raised By Owls' first release The Great British Grind Off was actually a full length of death and grindcore featuring 24 tracks containing all of the singles they had been releasing over that past year, plus many more. The humorous video for the title track, The Great British Grind Off, re-titled as "When You See a Fellow Metalhead in Public" introduced the band to the world and showed them as a very English band with a very Monty Python style of humor with the membership of Lee Deane (drums), Mark Bainbridge (guitars), Alex LeGrice (guitars/bass/vocals (backing; 2016-2017)/guitars/vocals (backing; 2017-present), Sam Fowler (vocals) and Toby Cope (bass; 2017-present).
As for the video: it depicted two metalheads meeting in a supermarket when a sudden dream sequence shows the two of them frolicking in a meadow while eating fruits and wearing flowers much in the style of the classic Sound of Music film to a grindcore metal music soundtrack "...and now for something completely different!" as they'd say in Monty Python.
