The SkullBiography/HistoryThe Skull (2012-present): a Doom Metal band from Chicago, Illinois, USA. N amed after Trouble's second album, The Skull was formed by ex-Trouble members Ron Holzner (bass; also ex-Place of Skulls and ex-Goatsnake), Eric Wagner (vocals; also ex-Death Row) and Jeff Olson (drums). The Skull barely got started before Olson departed in May of 2012 because he wanted to "wait for a real Trouble reunion with original members or not play Trouble's music at all." His departure proved to probably be little more than a temper tantrum for by August 2013, Olson rejoined The Skull stating, "I want to rock again." During his absence, Brad Sabathne and Kevin Tarpey (ex-Vicious Circle) took his place. Because of it's past legacy, The Skull performs a large portion of Trouble's first two albums, Psalm 9 and the album they named themselves after, The Skull, with a catalog of other Trouble tracks thrown in. The remaining of 2012 and 2013 the act toured extensively. March, 2014, former Trouble bassist Chuck Robinson joined the band on guitar. But just over a month later, it was announced that Robinson made his exit in order to focus on "his demanding professional career"; former Pentagram guitarist Matt Goldsborough replaced him. See All... ⏬ 2014 saw the release of their debut album, For Those Which Are Asleep. January, 2015 saw Jeff "Oly" Olson depart the band a second time; Sean Saley took the spot temporarily before ex-Cathedral man Brian Dixon would replace him more permanent. In November of that same year Matt Goldsborough left the band to be replaced with Witch Mountain guitarist Rob Wrong. The Skull EP (2016) then followed. With new member Brian Dixon taking over drums, The Skull would release The Endless Road Turns Dark (2018). See Less... ⏫ Dashboard for The Skull
