Domain (1988-1992, 2000-present) is a Power Metal band from Weiterstadt, Hesse, Germany.
omain's history is in two phases, first as Kingdom between 1985 and 1988 to record Lost in the City (1987; later released as Our Kingdom under the Domain banner), the Lost in the City single (1988) and We Got Love (1988) as a promo single. They would then change their name to Domain to avoid confusion with Lenny Wolf's Kingdom Come that started at the same time.
Under the membership of Freddy Diedrichs (drums), Cliff Jackson (guitars), Volker Sassenberg (keyboards) and Bernie Kolbe (vocals/bass) to release Our Kingdom (1988) formerly the Lost In the City recording under their Kingdom moniker a year earlier.
Several singles followed before Before the Storm (1989), Crack in the Wall (1991) and the Collection 86-92 (1992) compilation arrived.
The band then went silent. In early 2001 guitarist, and only remaining original member, Axel Ritt would resurrect Domain to return featuring the line-up of Carsten "Lizard" Schultz (vocals), Axel "Ironfinger" Ritt (guitar/backing vocals), Erdmann Lange (keyboards), Dirk Dingens (bass) and Edgar Schmidt (drums) to record their critically acclaimed One Million Light Years From Home, their first album in ten years. After touring with Bonfire in April they would finally headline in October with Swedish act Shakra and German act Hotwire as support.

2001 would launch with their New Horizons EP.
In 2002 Domain launched their largest opus yet titled The Artefact, an album of modern melodic rock music mixed with fantasy lyrics and even a copy of the Beatles Day Tripper. With the act using styles and looks of both the 1980s and 1990s The Artefact received critical acclaim.

In 2008, the final membership featured Axel "Ironfinger" Ritt (guitars), Erdmann "Erdi" Lange (Keyboards), Steven Wussow (bass), Jens Baar (drums) and Nicolaj Ruhnow (vocals) but Domain went silent in 2009 and has not been heard from since.
