Ancient Reign (2007-present): a Folk Metal band from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.

P

laying a form of blackened folk metal, Ancient Reign would form in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada under the membership of Saggoth (Real Name: James Gittins; guitars/bass/vocals/drum programming; of Ignightor/ex-Saggoth/ex-Bretheren (live)/ex-Panic and War/ex-Demiurgus), Tanner Revak (guitars (session)) and Defilement (Real Name: Nikolaos Tiniakos; vocals). A bunch of demos were released in 2007 but publishing proper came with Alost/Ancient Reign split (2010), Black Souls Rebellion split (2011) and Of Moonlights Glare EP (2013). At time of writing, all but Saggoth were gone.
