Brides of DestructionBiographyBrides of Destruction (2002-2006): a Punk band from Hollywood, California, USA. O riginally started in 2002, Brides of Destruction formed when rock veterans Tracii Guns (ex-Guns N' Roses) and Nikki Sixx (ex-Motley Crue) joined forces with Adema drummer Kris Kohls, keyboardist Adam Hamilton, and unknown Los Angeles vocalist London LeGrand in a project called Cockstar. Hamilton quickly left, and was replaced by utility rhythm guitarist John Corabi, who'd served a brief 1990s tour of duty as Motley Crue's shouter. The band was then re-christened Brides of Destruction, and some initial demos were recorded. However, by early 2003, both Corabi and Kohls had departed. A reconfigured lineup of vocalist LeGrand, sole guitarist Guns, bassist Sixx, and drummer Scott Coogan were on hiatus for much of early 2003, stymied by side gigs and the fluid nature of the project itself, but by that summer they were back in the studio and entertaining label interest. They eventually signed with 'Sanctuary', which issued Here Come the Brides (2004), straightforward mix of hard rock . After a short tour, Nikki Sixx regrouped with Motley Crue and was replaced by Scott Sorry from Amen. The band went on hiatus. The album included the song Dimes in Heaven which was written as a tribute to recently deceased Pantera and Damageplan guitarist Dimebag Darrell. Following the supporting tour in Europe Guns put Brides of Destruction on hiatus to have a brief stint in Quiet Riot before forming The Tracii Guns Band (which later became the second L.A. Guns).
