Biography/History

Church ov Melkarth (2004-present): a Black Metal band from Houston, Texas, USA.

O

pening in October 2004, Church ov Melkarth was started by Lord Catullus, and signed that December to 'Killzone' records.

Church Ov Melkarth weaved black metal misanthropy and dogma with ambient dark noise, and in 2005 the band would release their debut, Sermons From The Church ov Melkarth, featuring Catullus (guitars/vocals/samples/synthesizer/effects/production), Midgardsormr (effects/engineering/vocals) and Christhammer (percussion; this role would soon be replaced by Kenny Khaos for live shows and T. Thelemnar for sessions, with Jon Natten later taking over the vocals role as well as performing guitar/drums/Folk Instruments).

The act would then release: The Terrible Old Man EP (2005), Sermon of Hate (2005), Bells Books and Candles EP (2006), Sermon ov Steel (2010) and Varkolak (2012).
