SpurburyBiography/HistorySpurbury (1995-present): a Rock band from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. F our piece Spurbury is a hard rock act hailing from the Toronto suburb of Burlington, Ontario, Canada featuring Ian Holroyd (vocals/guitar), Ryan Anderson (guitar/backing vocals), Jim Black (bass), and Ross Sumner (drums). The group began in the mid 1990s and has assumed many names until recently settling with Spurbury. Their influences come from all genres of music, but are linked most directly to bands such as Hum, Chevelle, Idle Sons, QOTSA, and Finger Eleven. In late 2005 Spurbury's first release, a six song EP titled Throwing It All Away, would arrive. Since the album's release, Spurbury began promoting their live show primarily in the 'Golden Horseshoe' area. Their most recent and memorable dates have been at the Burlington Sound of Music Festival, and opening slots for rock acts Out of your Mouth, and Burlington's Idle Sons. Dashboard for Spurbury
