Six Days To NowehereBiography/HistorySix Days To Nowehere (2003-present): a Punk band from San Mateo, California, USA. F eaturing four guys out of San Mateo, California, Six Days to Nowhere's membership share a unified dream of musical success. On June 2, 2006, Six Days to Nowhere made their debut at Slims in San Francisco for nearly two hundred people. The significance of this moment is not lost on those who were there; the band had been trying to build a lineup for 3 years previous. Adam Missimore (guitars) and Alex Gomez (drums) formed the original band in early 2003, hauling their gear into a shoe-box sized in-law apartment, and immediately writing songs, minus a singer or bassist. For over a year, members came and went, and entire sets were written and then trashed. Finally, after working with seven bassists and some 15 different vocalists, what appears to be a true working lineup formed when Brendan McCarthy (vocals) and Adam met by chance in a mall food court talking about music; they connected instantly, and with the addition of a new bassist, the band went into the studio as Maldecion. The victory was short-lived; for McCarthy was taking a heavy toll on the progress of the band with missed practices, terrible performances, and weeks of no contact until one day in early 2005, he just disappeared; sometime later he would return after grappling with unnamed personal issues. But in the mean time, Missimore and Gomez hooked up with a singer/bassist named Bo Winterburn, record a few songs and even get brief radio play on Live105.3 in San Francisco.
