Ape

ard rock/heavy metal band Ape formed in Toronto, Canada drawing influences from a variety of classic and contemporary groups like ACDC, Megadeth, Led Zeppelin, Pantera, Iron Maiden, Priest, Opeth, GNR and Black Label Society. Founded by guitarist/vocalist Everett Mason and bassist Galen Weir, Ape has had a lot of different talents fill the drums and lead guitar positions during the years of the band's existence with no stable line-up except for the names of note being Miles Gibbons who had replaced Anthony Giles. Ape has had the pleasure of performing in such Toronto venues as: Club 279, The Horseshoe, The Reverb, The Smiling Buddha, The Kathedral, Lees Palace and many more. A self-titled demo came in 2007. Survival of the Fittest followed in 2009 along with ...and Then There Were Two EP (2010).
