SacrificeBiography/HistorySacrifice (1983-1993, 2006-present): a Thrash Metal band from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. F orming in 1985, Toronto, Canada, band Sacrifice started with Rob Urbinati (vocals/guitar), Joe Rico (guitar), Scott Watts (bass) and Gus Pynn (drums) under the major influences of Black Sabbath, Metallica, Thin Lizzy and Slayer. After the releases of their first two albums Torment in Fire (1985) and Forward to Termination (1987) on the Toronto based record label 'Fringe', their next album Soldiers of Misfortune (1991) maintained their old school thrash metal style that has remained forever popular in that area, but without the occultist lyrics and brutal imagery. Shortly after it's release, disputes and quarrels came up between Pynn and the other's and he left the act and was replaced by Michael Rosenthal; a tour with Monster Voodoo Machine followed soon after. See All... ⏬ In 1993 Apocalypse Inside was released on 'Metal Blade' records, the record promised to fulfill the band's desires of stardom and successes, and achieved that goal in a partial victory by giving them a cult following. Watts would soon after leave the group with Kevin Wimberley taking over as the new bass player. Unfortunately his career didn't last very long because the act split in early 1994 after touring in northern America with Deathand Gorefest, the members moving on: Urbaniti and Wimberley joined Interzone, while Rosenthal went to Hunnytruck, while Rico moved to Detroit and formed a hardcore act entitled Trust Denied. In 2009 the group reformed under the original membership to release The Ones I Condemn (2009) and a compilation but quickly went silent again, status unknown. Footnote: Not to be confused with the band of the same name from Germany. See Less... ⏫ Dashboard for Sacrifice
