rack Up's style was out of the norm for what one would expect of a typical German metal band for they had nothing to do with melodic power metal. Their earlier work showed them as more of a Death like band with a more mid-paced power metal tempo rather than the speedy old-school Death style. On the later material, they adopted a so-called 'Death Rock' style but even here they lacked the harsh Death vocals to be almost be considered just a hard rock band, as their music combined a bit of Motorhead with stoner rock groove and punkish loose playing, with the rest remaining as good old hard rock. Unfortunately the band received little notoriety outside of their homeland and announced their breakup in November of 2003. Their discography featured Blood Is Life (1996), From The Ground (1997), Heads Will Roll (1998), Dead End Run (2000) and Buttoxin Bloom (2002) featuring the membership of Andi Nohlen (drums), Dirk Oschatz (guitar), Tim Schnetgoke (bass/vocals) and Torben Voight (guitar). (Past members included Helvin Pour (guitar) and Frank Schlinkert (drums)).
