Deschutz (1998-2004, 2004-2007): a Black Metal band from Milan, Italy.
tarting with Rino Migliozzi (guitar/vocals), Marco Cova (guitar/vocals) and Jacopo (drums) in Milan, Italy, Deschutz would form at the end of 1998; Frank would step in shortly later to become their bassist. Producing classic heavy metal with death, black and medieval melodic punk rock overtones, their first recorded track would become The Glory Of Caesar with The Summoning, Under A Glacial Moonlight, Mare Nostrum and The Biker's Blues following shortly later.
By the time Raoul joined on to take up a full time vocal spot the band was ready to perform live at local watering holes and saloons like Binario Zero and The Indian Saloon. They performed these gigs with other Milan area bands Lunatic Asylum, Loverwolf, Entropia, Mystical Fullmoon, Killing Creed, Trauma, Charriot, Silence, and more nationally recognized acts like Beholder, Secret Sphere and Drakkar.
December 2000 saw Deschutz's debut, Last Solid Experience, launched on a very tight budget. Recorded in three days with drums, bass and rhythm guitar recorded live, and the acoustic and lead guitar and vocal parts overdubbed later. A friend of the band contributed the cover art. The CD featured all their work done to that point but missing The Biker's Blues. During 2000 & 2001 other tracks were recorded, but did not make it to the album, including Fluid Of Lathe, The Prophicy Of Sibylla, The Fall Of Vercingetorix (Act I & II) and Ilio's Field.

The name Deschutz was chosen by the band but has no meaning or translation. Intended as only a demo, their premier CD was mass produced and picked up by 'Emperor Multimedia's Diskery' distribution system for international exposure, therefore making at a released album. The recording was not followed-up on, however, and the band folded in 2004 to reform as D-Z Project to release a single demo The First Projection (2005) under the same membership until they broke up again in 2007.
