Visionary (1989-2002): a Progressive Metal band from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA.

O

riginating in Salt Lake, Utah in 1989, Visionary called their music "Theatrical heavy metal". Visionary pumped out dark brooding introspective tones of today's society and the ills of today in a musical environment that merges various progressive metal influences. Featuring Kyle Morrill (vocals/drums/keyboards), Tony Horstmanshoff (vocals/drums), Steve Yeates (guitar: electric/acoustic), Dawayne King (guitar: electric/acoustic) and Jason Fivas (bass) their self-titled debut would emerge in 1996 with the follow-up, Strange but Familiar Shores... in 2002. The band split soon after.

Footnote: No relation to the Chicago or Florida based bands of the same name.
