Azrael

he band Azrael was formed by Lord Samaiza (vocals/guitar) and Algol Martel (bass; originally drums) in the winter of 1999. In 2000, their first demo tape entitled Virulent Darkness arrived, although not properly released (it remained a demo). The following year, a second demo tape Unto Death was released to ultimately sell some 75 copies. At the beginning of 2002, an EP, Obdurate, was released on 'Disastrous Records' with their full length album, Into Shadows Act 1: Denial arriving on 'Moribund Records' and Into Shadows Act ll: Through Horned Shadows Glimpse following in 2003 and 2004 respectively. Tharengraff then took over the drum roll to allow Algol to concentrate on his guitar duties. The band disappeared after then and is considered gone. Featuring only the original two members, Act III: Self + Act IV: Goat followed in 2007.
