ilwaukee based Blacklist was one of those unknown US heavy metal bands that arrived while heavy metal was exploding in the mid 1980s in that country. Blacklist's main problem was that there was a saturation of bands like them around that time forcing them to blend into the scenery without gaining worldwide notice. Under the membership of Mark Holz (vocals), Jon Rogue (guitar), Rick Koch (bass) and Ron Pyne (drums) their one and only 1984 release, the 4 track EP The Sign Of 4, featured classic American 80s sound with wailing vocals and heavy metal anthems. The band disappeared as quietly as they seemed to come.
Footnote: Not to be confused with the Brooklyn, New York, USA band of the same name twenty years later.
