Peccatum

he band Peccatum is one of two projects featuring former members of Emperor, the other being Zyklon. Here, Emperor's Ihsahn (Real Name: Vegard Tveitan; vocals/all instruments) is joined by his wife Ihriel (Real Name: Heidi Tveitan; vocals) and her brother Lord PZ (Real Name: Pål Solberg/ex-Source Of Tide; vocals). Strangling from Within, the debut 1999 release, proved to be an extreme music adventure; the various vocal styles alone bringing a wide range of diversity to the album by boasting black metal shrieks, graceful female soprano tones, and clear male vocals and mixing classical music with basic black metal instrumentation. Oh My Regrets EP would follow in 2000, along with Amor Fati (2000). Although the act hasn't released since 2000 they are planning to record again, meanwhile, Ihrielrecently released her solo debut from her project Star Of Ash.
