MalevolentiaBiographyMalevolentia (2003-present): a Black Metal band from Belfort, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, France. E arly in their career, Ténèbre's voice came to replace Morathie (Baronne de Vénielle) in 2004, who in turn had replaced Van Eyck but the remaining early membership of Malevolentia remained solid with Arbaal and Nazgul both on guitar, weighed down by Tzeench on bass and Thyr (Real Name: Julien Helwin; drums) for the debut release of Contes et nouvelles macabres (2005). The act would center themselves on the texts of Marquis de Voilnoir's and Ghislain Gilberti, whose respective lyricism's explore and darken the entire atmosphere of their music. Playing classical Norwegian style black metal highlighted by fast double peddling and raspy vocals all in the French language, Malevolentia would go on to release Ex Oblivion (2011) featuring Spleen (Real Name: Alexia) on vocals. By the time République (2016) had been released the membership had gone through a radical change with only Arbaal (now going under the name Dies) and Spleen remained, with Raido (a.k.a. Renaud) taking up the guitars. Dashboard for Malevolentia
