Final Stage

eginning in 2004 in Windsor, Ontario under the name Ignite, Final Stage started by playing cover songs from bands including: Ozzy Osborne, Skid Row (USA), Metallica, Judas Priest and Dokken. Under this line-up they performed at several events across Essex County including St. Annes Mock Stock and Woody's Outhouse. After performing together as a 4-piece for over a year, the band split with the drummer and lead guitarist leaving to pursue other interests.

Founding members Brandon Wright (guitar/vocals) and Josh Kurkjian (bass) continued the band until they stumbled upon drummer TJ Dowhaniuk (drums; ex-Eyes of Icarus/ex-Dreams Destruction/ex-RPG) in October 2005. As a 3-piece the band wrote several songs together and performed with The Black Maria, Summers Hero and local act Betrayer (Canada). In August 2006 Final Stage released a 4-song album entitled Flight of the Phoenix.
