AlkatrazzBiographyAlkatrazz (1980-1983): a NWOBHM band from Maidstone, Kent, UK. B ritish act Alkatrazz was started by Australian raised Craig Stevens (vocals) and buddy, Bob Jenner (guitar) who soon added the rhythm section Gary Bevan (bass) and Nick Parsons (drums) before being signed by 'RCA' amid the major label rush to sign NWOBHM bands. NWOBHM maybe, but their sound came across more as a melodic hard rock in the style of UFO or the US modeled acts on their Young Blood (1981) and Radio 5 (1982) releases. They disbanded in 1983.
