Defleshed (1991-2005, 2021-present): a Thrash Metal band from Uppsala, Sweden.
Formed in 1991, Swedish thrashers Defleshed launched a bunch of demos between 1992 to 1994, to eventually release their debut. Musically, they boast relentless riffing and high speed drumming along with grating Death metal styled vocals. Originally With Gustaf Jorde (bass/vocals), Oskar Karlsson (drums), Kristoffer Griedl (guitars) and Robin (vocals; 1992 only) with Hell Y. Hansen (guitars) joining in 1995 they would debut with the EP Ma Belle Scalpelle in 1994 on the indie 'Invasion' label, to follow it up with Abrah Kadavrah (1996) featuring the replacement of Karlsson with Matte Modin. Under the Blade followed in 1997 with Griedl now out, reducing the act to a triplet, a formation that held for the follow-up live effort of Death ... The High Cost Of Living (1999), then Fast Forward (1999), Abrah Kadavrah/Ma Belle Scalpelle compilation (2000) and Royal Straight Flesh (2002). Reclaim the Beat (2005) would arrive before the act split later that same year. Matte Modin would go on to join black metal purveyors Dark Funeral.

In 2021 Defleshed reformed to feature Lars Löfven (guitars/songwriting) and the returning Matte Modin (drums), along with new member Gustaf Jorde (vocals/bass/songwriting) to release Grind Over Matter (2022).
