Nasty Savage (1983-1989, 1999-present): a Thrash Metal band from Florida, USA.
Formed in 1983 by pro wrestling wannabe Ronnie Galetti, Nasty Savage gained a strong underground following thanks to their over-the-top live shows and an aggressive, Thrash style. Featuring "Nasty" Ronnie Galetti (vocals), Ben Meyer (guitar), David Austin (guitar), Fred Dreschigan (bass) andCurtis Beeson (drums). Despite a promising start with their debut of Nasty Savage (1985) they never managed to capitalize on it. Dezso Istvan Bartha took over on bassfor the recording of Indulgence (1987)when Dreschigan quit due to a hand injury. Indeed, the bass position would be a constant headache for the act when it was once again left vacant due to Bartharesigning due to family pressures (reports have it that he would have been denied a hefty inheritance if he had stayed in the band) and was replaced by Chris Moorhouse for the Abstract Reality EP in 1988. Once again the bass spot was left empty when Moorhouse left to be replaced by Richard Bateman; Moorhousewas subsequently killedin a traffic accident in 1991. But after Penetration Point in 1989 the act split.

They would reform in 1999 for a German gig and then fell silent again while Bateman, Meyer and Beeson worked with Lowbrow, but in 2002 Wage of Mayhem EP emerged. The EP was really nothing more than the CD release of their early demo work, with a few extra tracks added for good measure. A follow-up would appear as Psychp Psycho in 2004.
