Cheetah (1976-1984, 2006): a Hard Rock band from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.
Having played in several acts since the 1970s, London, England born sisters Chrissie and Lyndsay Hammond worked as music researchers before they signed up to 'Albert Productions' in their adopted homeland of Australia. Working with session musicians and formerly of Maggie Bell's Midnight Flyer, the resulting 1982 album Rock N' Roll Women, although competent, went missed by the music press who focused more on the fact that they, indeed, were Rock N' Roll women and never mind their music. Unfortunately the title of the album seemed to at least play a part in their tainted reputation as serious musicians so the act split. Lyndsay later formed Rockhouse but even their proposed album was never released.

Cheetah reformed briefly in 2006 to perform in the Countdown Spectacular and tour Europe.
