Vomitory (1989-2013, 2017, 2018-present): a Death Metal band from Karlstad, Värmland, Sweden.
Formed in 1989 Vomitory was opened original guitarist Urban Gustafsson and bass player Ronnie "Ripper" Olson. They spent the first five years looking for two more members to complete their line-up. When they were satisfied with the line-up, they would work to complete their debut demo and the Moribund EP (1993), later to be released on 'Witchburn Records'; Tobias Gustafsson (drums), Ulf Dalegren (guitars) and Bengt Sund (bass) the new members for the release.

Other labels began to express interest, so Vomitory entered the studio to record a 5 track demo called simply Promo '93, but it failed in its goal of impressing the labels. In the spring of 1994, they embarked on another demo titled Through Sepulchral Shadows, and the next year they went on a tour of Poland and landed a spot on the Repulsive Assault compilation by 'Repulse Records'.

It would be in 1996 that 'Fadeless' took a chance on Vomitory and signed their debut album, Raped In Their Own Blood, featuring skull-crushing examples of their finest death metal under old school influence. By this time, Tomas Bergqvist (bass/vocals (backing)) and Ulf Dalegren (guitars) would join the band.

In December of 1997 they embarked on another, more extensive tour, featuring Shadows Of Sunset and Deranged, with the membership Erile Rundquist (bass), Urban Gustaffson (guitar), Ulf Dalegren (guitar), Jussi Linna (growls) and Tobias Gustafsson (drums). In 1999 they would record their follow-up, Redemption album.

Bergqvist was gone, replaced with Erik Rundqvist (bass/vocals/lyrics) for Revelation Nausea (2001), Blood Rapture (2002) and Primal Massacre (2004) followed. By Terrorize Brutalize Sodomize (2007), Peter Ă-stlund (guitars) would be added to the band. Carnage Euphoria (2009) would follow.

After the compilation Raped In Their Own Blood/Redemption (2011) and Opus Mortis VIII (2011), Vomitory would announce their split in 2013.

On Wednesday, August 16th, 2017, Vomitory reunited for a one-off show at the Summer Breeze Open Air in DinkelsbĂĽhl, Germany to honour Michael "Mike" Trengert, the label manager of 'Metal Blade Records' Europe who signed the band.

On March 23rd, 2018, Vomitory reunited, marking the 30th anniversary of the band but it would be several years before they would release again in the form of All Heads Are Gonna Roll (2023).
