Distant Thunder (2003-present): a Speed Metal band from Houston, Texas, USA.
Featuring James Rivera (Helstar; vocals), Eric Halpern (guitars), Gregg Gill (guitars/vocals (backing)), Mike LePond (bass) and Rick Ward (drums), speed metal act Distant Thunder would release only Welcome the End (2004) before going on hold. Fellow Helstar members Jerry Abarca (bass; 2004), and Michael Lewis (drums) would also make an appearance in this band.
