Witchcraft (2000-present): a Doom Metal band from Örebro, Sweden.
It all started when Magnus Pelander (ex-Norrsken; vocals/guitar) formed Witchcraft in 2000 in order to record a tribute to Pentagram's Bobby Liebling and Roky Erickson. The experiment yielded the single No Angel or Demon in 2002 being released by 'Primitive Art Records', which caught the attention of 'Rise Above Records', who quickly signed them. A year later, the band were brought back together with Jonas Arnesén taking the place of original drummer Jens Henriksson, and his brother Mats taking bassist Ola Henriksson's place. John Hoyles would also join on guitar.

Their debut album, Witchcraft (2004) was recorded in a basement studio with vintage equipment, giving the recording a seventies-esque sound. Mats Arnesén left the band almost immediately after the recording was done, however in favor of his other act the surf trio The Hollywoods and 50s style rockers Eva Eastwood and the Major Keys.

Their second album, Firewood (2005) was recorded in England and was released on the 'Rise Above' label in 2005. That same year the band toured the UK in support of Corrosion of Conformity, supported heavily on the Chylde of Fire single.

In mid-2006, Jonas Arnesén left the band and was replaced by the returning original drummer, Jens Henriksson.

Following their US tour Witchcraft returned to the studio and recorded the single If Crimson Was Your Colour. This was released on 7" vinyl by 'Rise Above Records' on 6 November 2006. Following the single Jens Henriksson once again left and was replaced by Fredrik Jansson (ex-Abramis Brama).

Their third album, The Alchemist (2007) and shortly after, Witchcraft released a split 12" EP featuring versions of two tracks previously banned in Sweden.

Witchcraft would then play the front stage on the one-day Ozzfest in 2009.

In 2010 Magnus Pelander would release a four track solo EP. Ola Henriksson, along with former members John Hoyles (who left in 2012) and Jens Henriksson formed a new band, Troubled Horse, to release a 7" single in early 2010. John Hoyles would carry on to join Spiders with the drummer for Graveyard. Jens Henriksson's side project would be in The Wait along with Joakim Dimberg, bass player for Dead Man.

In May 2012, the band signed with 'Nuclear Blast Records' to record their fourth studio album, Legend (2012), later that year. The new album marked the recording debut of the band's new members, including Simon Solomon (guitar), Tom Jondelius (guitar) and Oscar Johansson (ex-TruckFighters; drums), along with singer Magnus Pelander who was now focusing only on vocals instead of both vocals and guitar. The new album was released on double vinyl, with a special edition purple vinyl limited to 250 hand numbered copies.

Witchcraft released their fifth studio album Nucleus (2016).
