Conrad

The first black metal band to form in Barbados, and Conrad have some interesting trivia: The logo was designed and drawn by Lord Ifrit of Orisha Shakpana. The cross in the logo is one of numerous sigils of the Orisha psychopomp, Eshu. The cross represents the trident and the crossroad to which Lord Eshu claims to communicate with the mortal world and the Orisha gods of Ife-Lle (the original name for Nigeria and the epic fabled land of the ancestors of all West Africans). Kinoki Studio is the name given to Emdeka's home recording studio. The band has had one line-up in the form of Emdeka Anubis (Real Name: Kadeem Ward; all instruments/vocals), Fornost (vocals) and Lord Ifrit (vocals) to release -Conrad Within- EP (2011) and Exu.21: Voodooesque Nightshades, Her Embrace & His Alluring Ways (2020).
