The Raven Age (2009-present): a Progressive Metal band from London, UK.
Spin-off band The Raven Age formed in 2009 in London, UK by guitarists, Dan Wright and George Harris (son of Iron Maiden's Steve Harris) to be a band that combined heavy music with melodic vocals. Soon after forming the idea of a band and writing material, they took on bassist Matt Cox in 2012 and completed the lineup in 2013 with Michael Burrough (vocals) and Jai Patel (drums).
In 2014 their debut self-titled EP was released. In 2016 they commenced on a world tour with Iron Maiden as their big debut to the world. Their debut album, Darkness Will Rise, would arrive in 2017.
The follow-up album, Conspiracy (2019) saw the first line-up change in the form of Matt James (vocals) and Tony Maue taking over guitars from Wright. After the compilation album, Exile (2021), that guitar role would once again change hands in favor of Tommy Gentry for the release of Blood Omen (2023).
