The RIP (1991-present): a Thrash Metal band from Brooklyn, New York, USA.
The act that would become The RIP formed in Brooklyn, New York in 1991 with Ronnie Stapleton (a.k.a. Redge; drums), Ira Jay Gold (a.k.a. I-Ball; vocals/bass) at the helm, two men who had been long time band mates since 1984 through many different acts. They teamed up with close friend and guitarist Jimmy Pimpinella (a.k.a. Pimp) to finally form The RIP. Stapleton and Pimpinella would also form a collaboration to play in The Octagon Triangle, while Gold continued on with his own production firm GKTunes, an operation that produces music for video games and dance events receiving major label attention in the past. In 2006 the act would release a debut self-titled demo. Diskery has no record since.
Footnote: Not to be confused with the Spanish punk band of the same name.
