Zircon (2000-present): a Black Metal band from Worcester, Massachusetts, USA.
In 2000, Zircon emerged as one of Massachusetts' most promising black metal/Death metal bands, playing several high-profile shows including opening for Mayhem, Dark Funeral, Cryptopsy and the 2001 New England Metal & Hardcore Festival. However, various circumstances caused Zircon to disband just as the group was starting to take off. In 2004, Scott (guitar/vocals) and Eric (drums) re-formed Zircon, asking Chris (bass) to fill the void left by original bassist Joel. A few months later, Jay (guitar) moved back to Massachusetts and rejoined Zircon to complete the lineup.

Zircon would then complete their first CD Vast lands with engineer/producer Dorian Gatej.

In 2006 Zircon would be one of four nominees for the "Best Metal Act" in the 2006 Worcester Music Awards. Recent live appearances include shows with Immolation, Vital Remains, Godless Rising, Cattle Decapitation and two back-to-back shows with Cryptopsy. Their influences would include: Emperor, Megadeth, Enslaved, Satyricon, Dark Funeral, Setherial, Morbid Angel, Hypocrisy, Arcturus, Enthroned (Belgium), Bathory, Behemoth (UK), The Abyss, Deicide, Amon Amarth, Mayhem, Rotting Christ, Ancient, Krisiun, Diabolic, Dissection, Vital Remains, Death, Morbid Angel, 1349, Dissection, Ulver, Gorguts, Carpathian Forest, Dimmu Borgir, Old Man's Child, Vader, Belphegor, Immortal, God Dethroned, etc...
