Winds (1998-present): a Progressive Metal band from Oslo, Norway.
The music of Norway's Winds extends to multiple levels and genres, appealing to those individuals that appreciate creative forms in music, composition and production, or those into philosophy and existentialism.

Conceived in 1998, the band signed to 'Avantgarde Records', and in May of 2000 released the 5 track EP Of Entity and Mind featuring dark progressive symphonic music and the membership of Lars Eric Si (a.k.a. Eikind; ex-(Enslavement Of Beauty, Khold, Age Of Silence); vocals), Carl August Tidemann (ex-(Arcturus, Fleurety); guitar), Jan Axel von Blomberg (a.k.a. Hellhammer; ex-(The Kovenant, Mayhem, Arcturus, Immortal (Norway), Troll, Emperor, Fleurety, Thorns, Mezzerschmitt, Shining, Jorn, Age Of Silence, Mysticum, Kovenant, Ulver, Vidsyn, Eibon, Mortem, Antestor); drums), Andy Winter (ex-Age Of Silence; keyboard).

The band would soon thereafter record their debut full length Reflections of the I, and signed with 'The End Records' for North & South America. The full-length album, Reflections of the I was a concept album of sorts best described as the next chapter following their EP. Utilizing a full string section (courtesy of members from the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra) the album was a seamless mix of classical music oriented Metal with clean vocals, dark progressive guitars, philharmonics, classical piano and floating synthesizeresizeresizers. The Imaginary Direction of Time would be the follow-up in 2004. Prominence and Demise (2007) followed.

Footnote: Drajevolitch (vocals), Hans Josef Groh (cello) and Vegard Johnsen (violin) have been guest members, while Helge K. Haugen (a.k.a. Kobbergaard; guitar) and Paul S (bass) have been session members of this band.
