Virus (2000-2018): a Heavy Metal band from Oslo, Norway.
Really the re-animation of Ved Buens Ende, formed by well-known Norwegian black metal musician Aggressor (Real Name: Carl-Michael Eide) during the other band's downtime, Virus recorded a three-song demo and planned to release an album through 'Jester Records'. Czral himself described the band, "Virus is more of an eccentric rock band than a metal band. People have said it sounds like a mixture of Talking Heads and Voivod. Virus is linked musically to my old band Ved Buens Ende, but shouldn't be looked upon solely as its predecessor". The Drama Hour (2001), Carheart (2003) and The Black Flux (2008) featuring the membership of Petter Barntsen (a.k.a. Plenum; of Audiopain; bass), Carl-Michael Eide (a.k.a. Aggressor/a.k.a.Czarl; ex-(DHG/Aura Noir/Dimmu Borgir/Cadaver Inc./Darkthrone/Ulver/Ved Buens Ende/Fleurety/Void/Inferno/Satyricon/White Willow/Cadaver; guitar/vocals)) and Einar Sursjø (a.k.a. Einz; ex-(Fleurety/Beyond Dawn/Lamented Souls/Inferno; drums)).

Only Einz and Czral remained for The Agent that Shapes the Desert (2011) and Oblivion Clock EP (2012). Plenum would return for Memento Collider (2016) and Investigator EP (2017).

Footnote: No relation to the Virus that published Pray For War on the 'Metalworks' label in 1987 featuring Henry Heston (guitar/vocals), Damien Hess (bass) and Terry Kaylor (drums).
