Blasfame (1997-present): a Death Metal band from Quebec, Canada.
In 1997, Blastfame came together when friends Max England, Math Roy and J-F Richard decided to form a band named Blastfame as a garage metal band; an act that got more serious day after day. They recorded the EP Shadow with a new bassist named John Deslaurier in 1999. But the thrash metal CD was ultimately not the style of music they decided to follow. Deslaurer decided to quit the band, not liking the change in style in 1999. Eric Chartrand (guitar) and J-M Fournier (bass) replaced Deslaurier and England respectively soon after.

Abstract Evolution (2001) was released shortly after on 'Neoblast Records' in 2001 recorded by J-F Dagenais (of Kataklysm). After the release of the album, Chartrand quit the band to concentrate on his label 'Starline Productions'. Chris Donaldson (ex-Minds) heard the position was recently left vacant and wanted to play with the band so Blasfame took him on. Richardthen left the group and at time of writing they were looking for a new drummer and considering a new album for 2005.
