In 1994 the members of Kharon split to join other bands and projects. Rym and G.Hymer (Thyme) took part in the forming of the black metal band Ragnarok. Rigor joined a band called Shades Of God, Kull and Hyme took part in a project called Sunshine's Gone.
In 1999, Rigor, Kull and Hyme reunited and when Tamlin (Real Name: Lars Henry Eliassen; bass) joined them the year after they became Kharon as they are known today. With this line-up plus guest singer Rym they recorded the first Kharon demo January 2001 titled The Fullmoon Curse.
Raised By Hellish Demons followed in 2003 with help from Jontho Pantera as a session drummer; both discs getting 1,000-unit distribution.
