Act of Gods (2001-present): a Death Metal band from Bourg-en-Bresse, France.
Starting in September 2001, Act Of Gods opened when Philippe "Phil" Herbaut (guitar), former bass player of the French death metal Bands Mutilated and Abyssals decided it was time to start new. Drummer Guillaume (ex-Mutilated) was then found, followed soon after by Ventylator (vocals) who joined to aide in the creation of fast, furious and brutal death metal that took no prisoners.

In March 2002, the band entered the studio resulting in the recording of the first demo CD Dies Irae (2003), project highlighted by intense drumming and deranged guitar. The band sent on their own promotional copies to record labels, which ended in a three-album deal with 'Osmose Productions'. The band got mostly positive reviews from magazines, webzines and fanzines worldwide. In October, guitar player Doster Isk then joined and in 2004 their debut album, Stench Of Centuries, arrived. MaĆ¢t would follow in 2006. During this time the membership would switch around featuring Thomas (guitars; 2002), Bertrand (bass; 2003-2006), Damien (guitars; 2004), David Boutarin (bass; 2006-2007) but by 2006 only Ventylator and "Phil" remained. They have been silent since.
