Lapidate (2002-2008): a Death Metal band from Ajax, Ontario, Canada.
After a couple of line-up changes, the membership of Gord Brown (guitar), Darrell Kelly (bass), Erich Kennedy (drums) and Mike Verlinden (vocals) for Lapidate (a word meaning "to stone to death") would form in early 2002, and have been introducing themselves heavily in the Toronto area with their brand of pedestrian brutal death metal. After a large number of demo attempts, they would finally debut with Taxidermy Tea Party (2004) and an album title surely spoofing Megadeth with Sex Sells but Who's Paying (2008). Despite the clever titles, the band folded sometime soon after.
