Uncle SlamBIOGRAPHYUncle Slam (1988-1995): a Thrash Metal band from Los Angeles, California, USA. W ith strong ties to Suicidal Tendencies by originally featuring founding Suicidal Tendencies drummer Avery Smith (later replaced by another Suicidal Tendencies drummer, R.J. Herrera) along with bassist Louiche Mayorga (although he left before recording commenced), Uncle Slam played speedy Thrash typical of the late 1980s and early 1990s and boasting little original. By the time they were ready to record Say Uncle in 1988 the membership was a three-piece withTodd Moyer, Simon Oliver and drummerAmery Smith. There was a long break before they released Will Work for Food (1993) featuring a speedy cover of Led Zeppelin's Dazed And Confused, to follow it with When God Dies (1995) with R.J. Herrera taking over from Smith before splitting.
