Fictional PrisonBIOGRAPHYFictional Prison (1991-1997): a Power Metal band from Canton, Ohio, USA. K evin Palmer (guitars) and original vocalist Eric "Vince" Thomas formed Fictional Prison in the winter of 1991. It started as two musicians and a drum machine but by 1992 Drew Miller (drums) and Chuck Postlewait (bass) joined in. Their early performances saw them play dressed in costume as corpses with local indie acts like Wintersbane, and national acts such as Quiet Riot and Mountain. During their early times, they would also play with their name by changing it from Dust To Dust to Gutwrench, and by 1995 the Gutwrench variation would be featured on the Armed-N-Ready compilation by 'Fortune Records', as well as seeing Michael Briney (guitar/keyboard/drums) join their membership. By the end of 1995 there would be yet another name change, to Fictional Prison. Palmer would meet vocalist Caine, who was recording his own mini-CD,and had taken part on the same compilation album, but Caine was loosing his songwriter and had to work the remainder with another 'Fortune Records' band Medalyon. Palmer and Caine enjoyed each other's work, had been introduced to each other brought together by Ray Zaleski "Fort" at 'Fortune Records'. They worked for a while with each other, but by the end of 1995 Caine would join the band. Caine would contribute positively, but after a year and a half he left for personal reasons, with Postlewait following his example shortly later. They obtained a temporary bassist, but being a three-piece it didn't work well, so they joined with Stoned Age, a copy band, for a while but it wasn't the same.
