NefilimBIOGRAPHYNefilim (1991-1996): a Industrial Metal band from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, UK. F ormed as an offshoot of the legendary Goth band Fields of the Nephilim, Nefilim started when vocalist and leader Carl McCoy wanted to pursue a different musical direction. With fellow musicians Paul Miles (guitar), Cian Houchin (bass/programming) and Simon Rippin (drums), they would release Zoon featuring McCoy utilizing several different vocal styles and mid-paced, riff-heavy, and eerie music. The Zoon album, however, was not released right away. It would be held back for several years due to disagreements with the record label, eventually seeing release in 1996. Several years later, Fields of the Nephilim were back in business, putting an end to this experiment after only a single release. Footnote: Not to be confused with English band Nephilim from Stockton-on-Tees.
