Hamferth

amferð is a Faroese word that describes the epiphany of dead/missing seamen. There are many stories about such epiphanies on the Faroe Islands. As a band named Hamferð (or "Hamferth in English") they would debut with the Vilst er síðsta fet EP (2010) under the membership of Tinna Tótudóttir (bass), Remi Johannesen (drums), Theodor Kapnas (guitars), John Egholm (guitars), Esmar Joensen (keyboards) and Jón Aldará (vocals).

Evst (2013) would follow, now with Jenus Í Trøðini on bass.

Támsins likam (2018), the third set, would see Ísak Petersen on bass.

The Odn EP (2019) and Men Gu​ð​s hond er sterk (2024) would arrive next, the last featuring Eyðun í Geil Hvannastein on guitars.
