Mindful of Pripyat (2014-present): a Death Metal band from Milan, Lombardy, Italy.

aming themselves after a ghost city in Ukraine [see footnote below], Mindful of Pripyat would debut with the ...and Deeper, I Drown in Doom... EP in 2015 under the membership of Giovanni Santagostino Baldi (drums/vocals), Giulia (guitar/bass/vocals) and Tya (Real Name: Mattia De Fazio; vocals/noises). Like the town of their namesake, they have fallen silent since.

Footnote: In April of 1986 reactor 4 of the Chernobyl nuclear power station went into full meltdown and blew up. It was later discovered the cause was lax safety standards, along with a fault in its design. Pripyat was a manufactured upscale city built by the then Soviet Union in Ukraine (then a Soviet state) to service the station. Needless to say the population was evacuated and the area remains radioactive to this day with the city abandoned.
