EF Band

amed for the last initials of the two founding members, bassist Pär Ericson and guitarist/vocalist Bengt Fischer (R.I.P. April 5, 2001 of cancer, age 49), the E.F. Band (full name "Ericson Fischer Band") is usually lumped in with the NWOBHM crowd even though they weren't British (though there is a NWOBHM connection here, as drummer Dave Dufort, brother of Girlschool's Denise and later of Angel Witch, recorded early singles with the band). Despite being of Swedish origin, the band relocated to Britain in 1979.

It would be with Last Laugh Is on You in 1981 under the membership of Pär Ericson (bass/flute/vocals (lead)), Bengt Fischer (R.I.P. 2001; guitars) and Dag Eliason (drums), that E.F. Band would make their debut. They would follow it up with Deep Cut the next year, now with John Ridge (R.I.P. 2003; vocals (lead & backing)).

One Night Stand (1985), the third effort, would see the membership change to feature Roger Marsden (vocals (lead, backing)) and Anders Allhage (guitars). It would be the band's last studio recording for they split in 1987. A compilation and live album followed a decade and a half later.
