laying a form of thrash metal less frenetic than other bands of the era, Piece Dogs were a mainstream metal band that adopted the gimmicky habit of replacing I's with X's on the album notes of their debut, and only, album resulting in members playing "guxtar" and had song titles like "Devxl Dog" and "Hxgh Anxxety". Though not really original, their songwriting showed a bit more diversity than the average semi-thrash band of the time. Under the membership of Kyle Sanders (bass/vocals), John Connolly (drums/vocals), Mike Grimmett (guitars/vocals) and Greg Anderson (vocals (lead)), Piece Dogs would release their only recording, Exes For Eyes, in 1992 before presumably splitting soon after.
