Babylon WhoresBIOGRAPHYBabylon Whores (1994-2004, 2007): a Heavy Metal band from Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland. F orming in 1994 by frontman Ike Vil, Babylon Whores were one of several Finnish bands with at least a passing interest in goth metal, but while many of their countrymen take a more poppy, dreary take on that genre, Babylon Whores were more into grungy hard rock/heavy metal. Babylon Whores would debut in 1995 with the EP, Sloane 313 under the membership Ike Vil (vocals/keyboards/arrangements (track 4)), Jussi Konttinen (guitars), Ewo Meichem (guitars), Jake Babylon (bass) and Pete Liha (drums). The follow-up EP, Trismegistos, the next year saw the first line change in the form of Antti Litmanen (guitars) and Timo Koutala (drums). The first full length, Cold Heaven came in 1997, followed by the Deggael (A Rat's God) (1998), and the second full-length, King Fear (1999) followed. Death of the West (2002) with Daniel Stuka on bass would be the act's last release for they folded two years later. Since then they have played the Read All... ⏬ occasional live gig under false monikers, like Whores of Babylon or Babylon Horse (2007).
