ot to be confused with Hammerschmitt from Falkenstein, this Hammerschmitt, formerly named Pierrot would debut with the self-titled Hammerschmitt in 2000 under the line-up of Armin Zelzer (bass), Stefan Kroiß (drums), Summi (Real Name: Andreas Summer; guitars),Gernot Kroiß (guitars) and Benjamin Kroiß (vocals). Mein Herz (2005), 12 - Jenseits der Stille (2011), Still on Fire (2011) and Dr. Evil (2019) followed before the act split in 2020.

In 2023 the band reformed but now under the name Hammerschmitt Survivors under mostly the previous membership, except the drums which were now taken by Kili.
