Cerebral Fix

O

ne of the core early British thrash metal bands of the late eighties, Cerebral Fix's earlier roots lay more in the hardcore/crossover realm, as heard on their 1988 debut, Life Sucks ... And Then You Die! under the membership of Anthony Warburton (guitars), Gregg Fellows (guitars), Simon Forrest (vocals), Steven Watson (bass) and Steven Watson (drums).

By 1990 Cerebral Fix were signed to 'Roadrunner Records' and it was on that label they released their two best-known albums, Tower of Spite (1990) and Bastards (1991), with a style more firmly entrenched in the classic thrash metal of that time. After their fourth album, Death Erotica (1992), with Kevin Frost taking drums, they disbanded the next year, but some thirteen years later the mostly original lineup regrouped. After some line-up changes and several passing years Cerebral Fix would eventually release Disaster of Reality in 2016 under the revised line-up of Warburton and Baker accompanied by Nigel Joiner (bass/vocals (backing)), Neil Hadden (vocals) and Chris Doss (guitars/vocals (backing)). By 2017, however, the act had split again.
