ntroducing Portal, an Australian outfit that seeks to simultaneously broaden and narrow the traditIonal visIon of extreme metal. This is extremely dense, twisted, experimental death metal starting with the debut, The End Mills (EP; 2002) under the membership of The Curator (vocals), Horror Illogium (guitars), Mephitic (drums) and Werm (Real Name: Dave Lohan; bass).

The first full-length release, Seepia (2003), followed before the first membership change on the The Sweyy EP (2004) with Aphotic Mote (guitars).

Outre' (2007), Swarth (2009) featuring Ignis Fatuus (Real Name: Kevin Kevinson) on drums, and Vexovoid (2013) featuring Omenous Fugue (Real Name: Brad Lee-Leong) taking bass, Ion (2018), Avow (2021) and Hagbulbia (2021) followed.
