TombsBIOGRAPHYTombs (2007-present): a Black Metal band from New York, New York, USA. H ailing from Brooklyn and making a splash with their 2009 effort Winter Hours, Tombs combines several genres pretty seemlessly, though most will consider these guys either sludge metal or in the post-hardcore mold. That debut featured the membership of Mike Hill (vocals/guitars), Justin Ennis (drums) and Carson Daniel James (bass). Path of Totality, their 2011 effort, saw a membership change in the form of Andrew Hernandez II now on drums. By Savage Gold (2014) was their third effort and it also came with a change in the form of Ben Brand (bass/programming) and Garrett Bussanick (guitars). The Grand Annihilation (2017) saw the band reduced to a three-piece again, this time boasting Charlie Schmid (drums/vocals (backing)) and Evan Void (guitars/vocals (backing)) along side Hill. Hill once again reset the band for Under Sullen Skies (2020) to replace all other members with Drew Murphy (bass/vocals (backing)), Justin Spaeth (drums/guitars/keyboards/electronics) and Matt Medeiros (guitars (lead)). Feral Darkness (2025) would follow, Read All... ⏬ this time with Dan Higgins on guitars. Read Less... ⏫ ** This article is also available on our official app.
